Letter to the Editor - Ministry...
Dear Christians,
Christian means "little Christ". Where did Jesus Christ go in His ministry?
Mat 9:10-13 - And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax
collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples.
And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to his disciples, "Why does your
teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?" But when he heard it, he said,
"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Go
and learn what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.' For I came not
to call the righteous, but sinners."
Jesus knew who needed Him. Who else did Jesus Christ tell us to take His
ministry to?
Matthew 28:18-20 - Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete
authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these
new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am
with you always, even to the end of the age."
The way to do this is to support both local and foreign missions. As American Christians
we seem to forget that Jesus said "make disciples of all the nations." We have to
rethink our lives and find ways to support the work of the Lord.
Luk 17:31 - "The person who is on the housetop that day must not come down to get the
belongings out of his house. The person in the field, too, must not turn back.
Remember Lot's wife! Whoever tries to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses
his life will preserve it."
