Believe what you learn...
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the
Father except through me."
if you are raised to believe what Jesus says then that is what you believe...if
you are raised to believe something else but still in Christianity is what you
believe true according to Christianity?...what is truth according to Christianity?
i guess that is the question that really comes out of all that...
what if you are raised to believe something in your Christian faith that
contradicts what Jesus Christ said?...this only becomes a problem when you
become dogmatic to the point where you refuse what Jesus Christ says...many
would say that is not Christianity at all but a faux Christian denomination...
i guess it is difficult for me to fully understand how things get so
misinterpreted between denominations...but we all continue to argue about
the way our faith works...hmmm...reminds me of a previous scripture i posted...
Romans 14:1-4
Accept Christians who are weak in faith, and don't argue with them about what they
think is right or wrong. For instance, one person believes it is all right to eat
anything. But another believer who has a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables.
Those who think it is all right to eat anything must not look down on those who won't.
And those who won't eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has
accepted them. Who are you do condemn God's servants? They are responsible to the
Lord, so let him tell them whether they are right or wrong. The Lord's power will
help them do as they should.
so how does that work with a direct rejection of the teachings of Jesus Christ...by
that i mean do you accept people who claim to be Christians even though they reject
specific teachings of Jesus Christ as long as they do not reject all the teachings...
do not misunderstand my personal feelings - i do not remember having a problem with
what people eat but i do find it hard to reconcile people rejecting what Jesus said...
